Today’s #Saturdaynightmovie with the spousal unit was #Bugonia, nominated for four Academy Awards, including Emma Stone. It’s quite a wild ride. Jesse Plemons is terrifying and terrific as the primary antagonist in the film. Another bizarre Lanthimos joint!
Today’s #SaturdayNightMovie was “The Secret Agent” starring Wagner Moura. The film is nominated for 4 #2026AcademyAwards including Best Picture. It’s very casually paced (until the last 15 minutes or so), set in 1970s Brazil with a very 1970 cinematic aesthetic. Does great job depicting corruption.

#SaturdayNightMovie was the first two episodes of Season 5 of #StrangerThings. Even with the 4-minute recap video of Season 4, hubby and I kept on asking each other “Are we supposed to know who that is?” And “Wait, what is going on now?” The “kids” are played by actors who are clearly adults now.

#SaturdayNightMovie with the hubby and I was “Suddenly, Last Summer” (1959, Dir. Joseph L. Mankiewicz) starring Elizabeth Taylor, Katharine Hepburn, and Montgomery Clift in a #CampClassic adapted from a Tennessee Williams play. Overall, I’m glad we watched it but it’s hard to say it’s a “good” film.
