Photograph of my arm and hand reaching out inside a tall cone-shaped chimney building with daylight at the very top illuminating my hand like a halo. Taken at St Helens World of Glass in Merseyside.

Grade II* Listed Jubilee Cone building, built in 1887 housed the first ever continuous glass making furnace but it is now the entrance to the museum.

Sadly this fantastic museum is at risk of imminent closure so a crowd funder is set up to try and save it.

Please donate if you feel able to.

A glass artwork of the lower part of the face on display at St Helens World of Glass. The town has a strong industrial history of glass manufacture. Beautiful blue - green hues of the image and geometric lines of the edge of glass display cases and window frames turn the whole photograph into an artwork. In the background are the roofs of buildings of St Helens.

Sadly the museum is under threat of closure so please visit if you're in the area or look out for the crowdfunded appeal (#savetheworldofglass). Glass blowing demonstrations are amazing!
