Diorama of a London underground station being used as shelter during the Blitz.

10YO is learning about WWII this term, so we're reading 'When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit' by Judith Kerr together. Handily, this month's Aquila magazine (which I generally highly recommend) is on WWII, so we knocked up a little diorama at the weekend.

Post: You still believe Adam and Eve were the first humans ? Let me tell you a story. Not from Sunday School, but from history, biology, and stolen memory. God creates two people, Names them Adam and Eve. But wait, those are European names. Names that didn't exist when time began, Not African, not ancient, just sanitized for your religious convenience. What language were they speaking ? Who gave them names, Who translated it ? The animal names ? Because if God handed them Hebrew or English in the beginning, your God didn't create culture, He colonized it. Then the woman comes from a rib, not a womb. But science says all humans came from a woman, not a metaphor, a mitochondrial fact, a real African mother, the literal genetic origin of all human life. So when they say Eve came from Adam, now man came through Woman. Then rewrote the story to reverse it. But let's go deeper. You think Eden was in some mystical realm. Read closely. It was between Ethiopia and the rivers of Mesopotamia. The Garden of Eden was an Africa, that lush, rich land, that divine soil. They erased the original name, then renamed the entire continent after a Roman general, Leo Africanus, Let that sink in. They took the motherland, stripped it of it's spiritual significance, rebranded it for Empire, and told you, this is where sin began. And don't forget the Adam and Eve story. Not even Original Sumerians head Anki and in horseback, Babylonians had serpent gods, sacred gardens, forbidden knowledge. Gilgamesh had the flood story before Noah ever built a boat. Genesis is a remix stolen from the older civilizations, re - packaged as Divine Law. Final thought. They took your land, your language, your legends, your life source, and handed it back to you as a religion wrapped an empire preached through chains and called it truth. You didn't find God. You were handed a story rewritten by those who conquered you. Africa was eaten. Your answer testors were divine and the Bible just the edited version. They erased Eden, then renamed it Africa. Shah Believe, Inspire, lax be.

Some prep work for my next Archives visit. 35 items that contain a mention of St Mary Bourne School.

TOP TIP: Always prepare a list in advance, this has taken me 2 hours!!! Archive catalogues are not the best search engines.
