Schools Rugby: Larne Grammar 19 Dromore High 0 Senior Friendly Larne Grammar and Dromore also held a Senior Squad hit out at Lower Cairncastle Road on Saturday morning. The game was also played over three 20 minute periods with Larne leading 7 - 0 thanks to a Ralph Wilson try in the first period. Ralph Wilson scored Larne's first try against Dromore It was a tight game with much of the action focused on a strong defensive display from Larne with brothers Reuben and Corbin Marsden notable in their efforts to slow down the Dromore play and create a few turnovers.

Limavady took an early 3 - 0 lead thanks to a successful penalty from Isaac Stubbs-Carton. Unlike the day before it was grey and overcast and rain threatened. Quinn Armstrong opened the scoring for Wallace In their first real attack of the game the large Wallace pack made ground into the BRA 22. Quinn Armstrong found a gap to score under the posts to make Josh Geddis’ conversion a formality and put Wallace 7-0 up in 4 minutes.

Friends won the toss and elected to play with the wind on their backs. Nerves must have been jangling with a series of handling errors as both sides struggled to hang onto the ball. It took 20 minutes of fractured play before Sullivan Captain Lucas McKeown breached the friends defence and raced in under the posts easily converted by Noah Cassidy to take a 7 - 0 lead.

A strong cold wind blew down the pitch, initially in High School’s favour. As the match kicked off Lisburn was hit with a strong squall with heavy rain and strong winds causing handling and kicking problems for both teams. With the rain and wind at their backs, High School coped with the conditions better and settled into a forward dominated game.
