At Tarleton's house, feeling his death is near, Tarleton sends for his wife, Grace. He dictates his last wish to Grace and dies just after signing the will. However, Grace tears the will, granting nobody will ever know about it. At the same time, Dexter enters Tarleton's house by a window and meets Evelyn, Turleton's niece.
