Two pairs of tiny blue seed weevils - each about 3mm long - huddle on a hazel twig. In each pair the larger female is underneath, and the slightly larger male clings to her wing cases. This species - Oxystoma pomonae - roosts like this through the winter, presumably as a way of conserving heat.
