A photo of the Shawangunk ridge taken from the Bashakill wetland showing some green trees at lower elevations but on the higher parts of the ridge the trees are completely lacking leaves.
The spongy moths are so awful. Up in the hills the trees are completely defoliated. I looked all along the ridge tops with binoculars and even the white pines that rise above the deciduous trees look dead. 😿
