Just came across the Camanachd Cup Final between Kingussie and Newtonmore on BBC Alba. No real idea what’s going on (not helped by the fact that the commentary is in Gaelic, which I don’t speak) but it looks brilliant, if brutal. #Shinty

John Dallas was a miller who came to Kingussie from Rothiemurchus in 1866. Standing next to him is his son, John Cameron Dallas, who was a great #shinty player. The figure on top of the #Camanachd Cup is modelled on him
