Kingussie - Wikipedia

Kingussie is a small town, historically in #Inverness-shire.

Kingussie is 42 miles (68 kilometres) south of #Inverness, 12 mi (19 km) south of #Aviemore, and 3 mi (5 km) north of #Newtonmore.

Many rivulets of water, cascading over the edge, forming alternating patterns of dark and light. At first glance the scale is not clear, and it appears very grand, but in fact the drop is only about 10cm, given away by the bubbles in the lower right. It is formed by a concrete ford across the stream, the far side just visible at the top.

Abstract forms with bubbles and other shapes, formed in shallow ice between cobbles and pebbles on the banks of the River Spey. The tops of the stones are dry with warm tones, contrasting against the cold blue ice.

A similar view, but the ice has multiple levels, each frosted on the top, forming an opaque layer. The stones are bounded by darker ice, adding structure to the scene.
