The view through an underpass that connects a lake to a small pond and is only passable at this time of year, when the ice and snow have melted but the water level is still very low, before the snow in the mountains melts. The photo was taken from the bank of the pond, through the underpass – which is filled with a little water, from which larger stones protrude – towards a lake that is now almost completely free of ice and snow, and the snow-free, brown bank with its green fir forest. The sun is shining behind the photographer, but does not penetrate the underpass, which makes the sky, reflected in the water of the underpass, appear very blue.
