Some common freshwater #snails that rove the bed of the River Little Ouse: at top, Ear Pond Snail (Radix auricularia); & below, Lister's River Snail (Viviparus contectus) minding its own business & two Common River-Snail (Viviparus viviparus) engaged in I know not what interaction. #snailsky 15/19

SNAIL MYSTERY
Today I came across these tiny snails on an old tree in a forest.
Location
Seebad, Ahlbeck, Insel Usedom, Baltic Sea
I couldn’t find any information about them.
Anyone?

Great herds of River-Snails (Viviparus) pattern the silty riverbed with their trails, while Great Ram's-horns & Great Pond #Snails clamber the macrophytes.
Under a piece of wood, the leech Erpobdella octoculata. Is the white strip an egg mass?

See little orangey head of Bicolour Sedge Caddisfly larva peeping from front of its case, legs going madly.
Above, Drake Mackerel Mayflies (Ephemera vulgata) on the wing.
Below masses Common River-snail (Viviparus viviparus) & Common Bithynia (Bithynia tentaculata). #snailsky #snails #invert 4/15
Apart from Zebra Mussels, at high density in places, dominant #invertebrate was great herds of chunky Common River Snail (Viviparus viviparus).
Also plenty Great Ram's-horn (Planorbarius corneus) & Common Bithynia (Bithynia tentaculata).
Are these jelly loops snail eggs?

Besides the abundant Common River-snails & less common Great Ram's Horns, a feature of this fenland drain fed by the River Little Ouse was the multitude of Whirligig Beetles (Gyrinus) spinning on the water surface. Also lots of dragonflies and damselflies. #snailsky #snails #invertebrate 21/23
A drawn photo of the pink snail from blues clues. It is a pink clay snail with black antennas and a smiley face, the background is a light green with green leaves on opposite corners and has a border of brown sticks tied together with twine in x’s in the corners

Thank you for your art, such happiness came from seeing the daffodils and snow bells.
The Sapiston River/Black Bourn below Ixworth also suffers incredibly dense infestation of #InvasiveAlien Signal Crayfish riddling #river bed & banks with their holes. Another alien is tiny Jenkins Spire-snail (Potamopyrgus antipodarum). At least Great Ram's-horn is native. #snailsky #snails 5/10
Down near the River Wissey, there were chunky Lister's River Snail (Viviparus contectus), signs of Duck Mussels & drifts of other snail shells.
Also, on some Frogspawn #Algae (Batrachospermaceae), a stylish little Nebrioporus elegans predaceous diving beetle.

For #MolluscMonday I guess Pea Mussel (Sphaeriinae) & - among the rainbows always to be found in #chalkstreams on a sunny day - Common Valve Snail (Valvata piscinalis).
Any idea what the eggs are - on a stone & on the base of a huge glass bottle? #MolluskMonday #Freshwater #rivers #snailsky 10/12
A black slug gliding through the damp grass
A white-lipped snail moving across the moss covered bark of a Hawthorn tree.
A slug crossing a wooden board walk, passing a staple nail hammered into the wood (to provide pedestrians with grip)
Well, the damp weather has brought out the gastropods.
