#AntagonistApril Ohhh here we go!! Alright.. Book 1 of #SongOfTheDevilstorm pretty much has 2 main ones!
This... will be a strange month for describing my books with this prompt lineup, but it should be interesting ;) ...I need to hurry up with some concept art for this!!
#MarchWorldbuilders For my #SongOfTheDevilstorm, the souls of sentient beings have weights, of a sort, applied to actions and intent. Upon death, the soul is carried across a dimensional rift to an appropriate domain. 'Punished' however, isn't certain-as some go there to grow into powerful beings.
Snail like creature with support tendrils anchored to the cavern wall. There is an attached bowl like structure on one side with blood in it. Front side of the creature is a mass of red and purple tentacles. Function of this creature is to feed populations with its detachable tentacles. When they turn red, they are ready to be pulled off and consumed (most prefer to cook first). They will regenerate like lizard tails with additional blood donations in the basin. Original versions had elongated fangs and grappling claws that were meant for attaching to Arsolvet's great warbeasts skeletal structure and carried into warzones as mobile food sources. Those versions would leech material from the warbeasts digestive tract, which was usually filled with the dead and dying from the battlefield, from all sides.

Most recent 'version' of this creature who's purpose is to regrow those tentacles. When they are red, they are ready to detatch and cook/eat.
Living, not sentient, feeds on donated blood and local soils. Details and more history in alt text!
#SongOfTheDevilstorm - new character reference FINALLY done lol: Marfon the Aznodian.
This human tracks down a death cult, gets revenge, then meets the blood god Arsolvet. He then becomes her Avatar and is gifted with a living armor seed. It grows! Exquisite armor, and can regenerate damage.
Concept art piece. A large orb of blood hovers above the dias in the center of a ruined circular room. Broken stone tablets and iron chains litter the ground around the dias. The room is lit by a couple of wall mounted torches crafted in the shape of some horned horror. The blood orb radiates a dim red light, and the spiked humanoid form of the blood god is barely visible inside.
Arnkit, full name Arnkit'atla-husfrey'irkir, is the matron dragon of the Forest Flight of the Crulean Crest Tropics, lifemate to Verthrik, mother to four hatchlings: Smara-kogur, Vred'tiss, Herinn, and Kyrvat. She is a large green dragon standing several human lenghts tall, and has a large green crystal floating above her claws. Thicker brown plates run from her forehead down her tail that also supports a large retractable fin like sail that stands a few feed above each plate. She is an envoy of the Dragon Nation to the city of Alabandrin.
Character reference for Arsolvet the blood god in her true physical form, along with three variations of her favorite human form. Her true form stands around nine feet tall. Horned head, four glowing eyes, lip-less mouth of sharp teeth. Her skin is semi-transparent red that appears to move and flow like a pool of thick blood. On her neck, back and shoulders down to her ribs, as well as forearm and foreleg are dark red growths with spikes. Her human form is a red-headed woman standing around five foot eight, green eyes, sun-bronzed skin coloration. The three forms are nude reference, leather travel armor, and formal white dress.
Night scene in the hills over the city Alabandrin, Jeron and P'traltis rest in the snow and take in the view. Arnkit and her family fly overhead in the distance. The sky is lit by the aurora and the three moons. -This was a challenge piece done in about a day; no real planning but I like how it turned out for the time spent.

Ah yeah-got one. End of a very short fight, and one that I really, really want to illustrate soon too. Arsolvet finally confronts the guy, and despite his ego there is absolutely nothing he can do. She will have terrifying moments heh.

Mother to the main character in book 2, and quite a loving and absolutely normal human! Survived a brutal attack on her caravan over the mountains, saved by a mixed town of farmers, and raised her son. She stands in a respectful pose with a dark blue work dress, brown boots and bracers. Red-orange hair with a ponytail over her right shoulder. Her blue eyes are very kind. Her shadow stretches off into the background as a sinister and massive non-descript demonic form with several glowing eyes.

Horned head, four glowing eyes, lip-less mouth of sharp teeth. Her skin is semi-transparent red that appears to move and flow like a pool of thick blood. My Dracthyr is in dragon form, wielding the GW2's Timekeeper greatsword in one hand, WoW's Obsidian Edged Blade in the other. Legendary blacksmith's belt around his waist with a Horde flag attached. GW2 golden dragon queen cosmetic attached to the wings. GW2 jeweled headpiece and fire horn cosmetic on the head. Character is in the Auric Basic in GW2, standing on a fallen Anduin face-down in the grass, with other fallen Alliance soldiers and broken siege equipment in the background. Dracthyr is flanked by two dragons: Aurene from GW2, and my WoW Netherdrake from Burning Crusade expansion. The Horde's airship Orgrim's Hammer floats above the battlefield.
My wife's avatar as the more feline version of herself; serval cat. She has cats-eye frame glasses, a unique glowing blue horn, a collar with a brass plate that reads "I lyke cheez", her large ears are pierced by many silver rings, one silver eyebrow stud, large black stereo headpones around her neck, and her four paws have blue classic roller-skates with a rainbow icon over purple socks. Her form is resting on a large pile of silver chainmail rings, with several more personal artifacts. This is all situated on the bridge of a Star Wars Star Destroyer bridge with other normal cats walking around or playing musical instruments.
This is my demon OC with a concept twist in honor of Mer-May, my first entry into this particular event. My demon OC messes with a water temple during May, their month of power, gets caught and is punished by being transformed into a Merfolk of the Orca flavor. This red demon has half of their body magically modified into the black and white body of a male orca (tall thin fin) with a few elements that still marks him as a demon. The scene is in a clear blue ocean near the surface, sunlight streaming down into the darker water.

Ahh for my #SongOfTheDevilstorm books, it'll change. For the first few, many families and homes are not only generational but tribal as well. Book 2 MC's home town was clan based, after movin to the big city they still managed to get a large multi-fam dorm type place to live.
WIP: finally got around to working on a piece of character reference for Marfon (avatar of the blood god Arsolvet). Old/young ref base done, but wanted to share this lil bit: seed of living armor. Created by Arsolvet and gifted to him, it'll grow into magnificent scale armor.

Side comic relating to the game Palworld. This represents my first time finding an Alpha pal. Frame 1, character meets the glowing Cattiva Alpha and says how cute it is. Frame 2, 'boops' the Cattiva with a pal sphere in an attempt to capture it saying "I must have you". Frame 3, the attempt fails and the Cattiva is shocked, then angry, saying "You are already dead" - a throwback to a meme that went around some time ago. Frame 4, character is shocked and frightened, holding up an arm in defense and commenting about a strange power charging up. Frame 5, character is disintegrated by Solar Blast in a reference to the movie Terminator 1.

Character reference done for P'traltis! Took a little bit of doing because I wanted to explore it a bit! Centaur type critter, based on panthers. They have a fur pattern visible in infrared!
She'll be in the second book, and beyond heh. Really lookin forward to more of this!!

She stands in a purple dress embroidered with the golden symbol for chaos. Many sections are covered with spiked red metallic plates. Her dress is bound by a golden ring sitting just below her collarbone. Chains connect several sections of the armor. Large feathered black wings stretch out, each feather tipped in a fiery red, just like her wild and long hair. In one hand, she holds a double-bit silver axe with runes along the blades. Her other hand is engulfed in purple flames. A black tail loops around behind her in the symbol for infinity, reflecting the bright light of blue runes illuminating the floor. Columns of light from the rune rise up to the night sky.
