SOS EDU – SAVE A BIRD, PROTECT A LIFE!
The Project Vitó team went to Santa Filomena after a Cape Verde storm petrel (Hydrobates jabejabe) was found.
The bird was healthy, banded, and safely released.
Thanks to all who help protect our seabirds!

Last week in São Filipe, a Boyd’s Shearwater chick and a Bulwer’s Petrel were rescued, cared for, and successfully released back into the wild.

Another Pedreiro (Puffinus iherminieri boydi) fell near Pai António, Mosteiros — site of the species’ first nest. Thanks to a quick report, our team rescued and released it back to nature.
