Liberton Local Place Plan outline map of area... Liberton and District Community Council survey (Local Place Plan) THE City of Edinburgh Council is currently seeking ‘Local Place Plans’ from communities such as that represented by the Liberton and District Community Council to feed into its wider planning guidance for the city, between 2030 and 2040. To that end, you are invited by the Liberton and District Community Council - to share your views in this survey as to how the district might be shaped in the future. You are invited to complete this survey by 30th April 2026, which will provide the Community Council the time to consider whether to organise other engagement exercises, including in-person ones. Please be reassured: your answers will be anonymised when compiling any reports, and all email addresses will be confidential and only used to communicate the survey results. We are, however, asking you to share your street address (not the number) and postcode so that it at least partly confirms you are a genuine resident of the area represented by the Liberton and District Community Council. That area is shown on the map below.

Will this shop ever open? It was always a Chinese Restaurant (it was the Ho Wah for decades, then Cathay Cuisine) until 2014. It's been empty since. Then they scraped everything off in August 2024 and started to refurb to a burger place August 2025, then nothing! #Glasgow #Shawlands #SouthSide

In other demolition news: The Southside Farm Store on 38th street & 15th has finally been torn down! Drove by today. It was overrun by rodents, was closed & emptied long ago, has been vacant ever since. It is a great location for multi-family #Housing. #Minneapolis #Southside
