Despite being unarmed, the scout corvette is a powerful military unit. Utilizing advanced scanning technologies the overview it gains of the battlefield is an invaluable asset. Knowledge is power.

Finale

A period of paranoia after initial First Contact precipitated SVG to install self-destruct mechanisms on board their ships, in case of hijackings, boarding action or piracy. Essentially a suitcase bomb linked to the drive core.

There's also a lot more surface detail than I normally feature, intended to suggest a particularly large ship with an emphasis on function over form.

Day 28: Exploration. I started this for day 24, but it wasn't really capturing "test flight". So I put it aside, with just the hab ring and engines done, and finished it today. This was a fun one-off, not part of my setting or to any particular scale. #LEGO #Shiptember #Spaceshiptember2025 #SST25

Its big and egg shaped but it gets the job done. This transport has become very popular with its cheap cost and easy to maintain design.

Cargo transit gates wrap a superluminal field around autonomous cargo drones, sending them along point-to-point shipping lanes. These fields last a few light-minutes, enabling fast shipping within a system.

Day 25: Lasers. Started off by looking at what transparent parts are available. I wanted a long, prominent beam, but it's difficult to join bars end to end, so much of it wound up inside the ship. These laser-mining drones are deployed several dozen at a time. They are almost always operated autonomously, but the occasional delicate prospecting scan calls for a single pilot to direct the drones

Test Flight

A Concordat experimental prototype attempting to miniaturize a hyper-dimensional drive. It's not clear if the test succeeded, as technically the drive did fire, no one really knows what happened to the ship itself.

Day 22: Fire! This one started off with me trying to find a convincing gunfire effect. I put that on a turret that went unused as it was too big, and instead wound up making another mercenary/pirate ship that doubles as a ground attack aircraft. #LEGO #Shiptember #Spaceshiptember2025 #SST25

A fire-control drone, capable of latching onto a multitude of surfaces, including hull-breaches and pumping high volumes of foam and sealant.
