The painting depicts a long, broad garden path in its centre. At its end, we can see an arch that may be covered in flowers in summer. Two high and dark fences flank the path. There is a rest of snow on the left side of the path as well as on the lawn.

from the museum's webpage: During his visit to Cuenca in the summer of 1910 Beruete particularly focused on this part of the city, which overlooks the river Huécar. The very low viewpoint allowed the artist to show the fertile nature of this area of market gardens and also emphasise the uniqueness of the city’s architecture, with the monastery of San Pablo standing out on the left.

In the centre of the painting, we can see a white-coloured fountain. The area around the fountain is dominated by low-growing plants. These plants look more greyish than green. In the background, we can see trees with autumnal leaves. The centre part of the picture is arranged in a very symmetrical manner.
