Lucius is running late, again. Weekend service was a bitch, and while he always knows this, he couldn’t resist an extra half hour pillowed on Pete’s chest. Or the extra half hour after that when Pete woke him up with— “Feckin’ finally,” Wee John says at Lucius’s delayed entrance. “Thank you for removing yourself long enough from your boyfriend to join us,” Frenchie says as he continues to help Wee John set up the sound system. Lucius ignores the ribbing and pulls the iPad out from his knit strawberry purse. “Is Stede here yet?”
The clink of bottles tells Lucius Archie’s arrived before he hears their voice. “Ed sent us a text, said they’re making one more stop before they arrive. Don’t you check the group chat?” Lucius sighs as that very same text appears as a notification once his iPad connects to the WiFi. The door to the Revenge swings open so hard it bangs against the wall. Lucius takes in the newcomer from his black lace up boots to his snug black jeans, further up to a solid torso encased in a Jaws t-shirt and more leather, a jacket covering arms that Lucius wants to see bare.
