I have many Grappelli records but this remains a favourite. The British pianist Alan Clare was the perfect accompanist on these duets. In particular, every second of "The Nearness Of You" is utter perfection from both men. A glorious album.

I was in a small record shop years ago, looking for a particular Stéphane Grappelli CD when the disc they were playing caught my ear. I was captivated by its elegance and bought it (plus the Grappelli, obviously!). Anyone else a fan?
