Tonight a Deschutes Brewery The Abyss 2019 Reserve Port. This one is not my typical barrel-aged imperial stout. It’s got a slightly sweet note that lightens the rich mouth feel of an imperial stout. Faint coffee notes are still present, but it adds cherry notes.

Happy #stouturday! Today Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash. At 17% abv, it’s a bit boozy on the finish, but not as much as I’d feared. Nice touch of vanilla, very light. Classic coffee and chocolate taste.
A white ceramic rabbit is next to a stout glass full of dark beer. The white labeled pint can has a curious picture of several plates of breakfast that I can’t quite describe. Fruit and shrimp maybe?
