Something taken a few years ago for a friends wool crafts business.

#sundaypixtexture not got much for this, so have a watery video.

White Stonecrop bursts from a wall in Spring. It's also known as 'jellybean' as it resembles the sweets. While called White Stonecrop, this stuff looks like it's dropped acid at a Grateful Dead concert. There are shades of green, but it's mainly covered in red, fractal-like flecks.

I'm not sure what kind of leaf this was, but it appears to have landed on a bed of Sphagnum quinquefarium, a kind of moss that grows on hillsides and wooded areas. I'd no idea that moss can be pink! The leaf is mainly orange-brown in colour, with green flecks and spots of black mildew/fungus that are slowly eating it so it can return as nutrients for the moss.

I forgot about these for #SundayPixTexture Some tiny White Stonecrop sprouting from a wall last Spring. Next, a riot of autumnal colour.

A close-up macro shot of a Pleated Inkcap. The macro function has blurred its thin stem away, so it appears almost like a mini UFO floating over grass leaves. From the central umbo, gills radiate outwards, like the spokes of a bike wheel, alternating light and dark grey.

Lichen and moss cohabit the trunk of a tree in Wades Wood, West Yorkshire. The lichen is a grey-green colour, with a smooth surface and crinkly edges. There's not a lot of moss to be seen here, but some is in a rich green colour, and you can also make out some rhizoids, tendril-like structures where the moss attaches itself to a host. A few pieces of small, brown leaves can be seen mixed in.

What looks like a sheet of glittery sandpaper is actually frost on the outside of my Velux window. To the bottom left, golden light from the rising sun illuminates and highlights various frost particles and shards right across the glass.

In this shot, the frost has formed distinct lines of fractals stretching across the glass in all directions. Golden sunlight can be seen bottom left, fading to the clear of a blue sky on the right. The frosty fractals appear white or silhouetted against the light.

A frosty morning finds its way in to the #SundayPixTexture feed. The frost was on the outside of the velux windows of my Brixton flat, with the gold of a rising sun.
