2026早くも2度目の劇場鑑賞。4作連続アニメも可能だったけど、4作ぶりの実写・5作ぶりの洋画となりました。
東洋西洋の名所や文化が混交した叙事詩パートの映像・色彩・景観・音響の美しさは勿論、1915LA病院パートもアレクサンドリアとロイ：2人の入院患者それぞれの行動を中心に惹きつけられる内容。かなり独特かつ次第に複雑になっていく場面転換に幾分戸惑わされつつも、最終的には銀幕で観て良かったと思えた長編でした。衣装デザインを手掛けた石岡瑛子さんの他にも、音楽担当（確かソプラノ歌手）で日本人の氏名がエンドロールに。

I watched #EmeraldCity, mostly because it was directed by #Tarsem. But although some of the images are splendid, it can't compare with "The Fall" on that level. The story was the weak spot there as well, but in this case it's more egregious. I didn't hate it, but IMO it's not worth the effort.
