#TfL bus service really is awful, especially on weekends. Central London buses running every 20 minutes or so in the afternoon is a joke. And they wonder why so many still drive. And sitting at a stop where the bus from 6 minutes ago just never showed up. Fix congestion? Fix public transport.

The journey planner within the tfl.go.uk provides an option to set 'my walking speed' as slow, average or fast. What do these represent, in numeric terms? The value for walking speeds in our Journey Planner are as follows: · Fast 5km per hour · Average 4km per hour · Slow 3km per hour

Limitations of the connectivity metric

I've also just seen it uses a walking speed of 5km/h (defined as "Fast" by #TfL) To be more inclusive view, it'd be better to use "Average" (or even "Slow"). It also doesn't account for delays at crossings & junctions. NB It'd be fair to say the authors do acknowledge the limitations!

Piccadilly platform at Acton Town station. Closed off with an orange rope. The new rolling is standing there with doors shut. A few engineers in orange vests are standing besides the train and in the train.

No Piccadilly line yesterday, but... I did get to see the new tube stock in person for the first time. Spotted them running tests at Acton Town.

They seem lighter and quieter. Love the new maquette! The stock is said to enter service later this year.
