Brilliant informative and real Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 November 2024 This is an amazing book to give therapists knowledge of childhood sexual abuse. It's not in your face about the abuse, it's very subtle. It's more about the thoughts and feelings and behaviour that people are left struggling with and how they recover. Best book I've read on the subject.

This latest review means a lot to me. Thank you to everyone who’s left a review of The Flying Child - A Cautionary Fairy Tale for Adults. It still feels very surreal knowing this book is out there. Not sure if I’ll ever get used to that.

Our tagline #SocietysShameNotMine reflects the shame of the perpetrators - of course, but the issue is bigger than the abuse itself. The current response to adult survivors is dire - discriminatory, victim-blaming. Shameful. And it needs to change.
