#OTD 1944, 80 yrs ago today, acting alone, Polish born #SOE agent #KrystynaSkarbek, aka #ChristineGranville, rescued 2 Brit & 1 French officer from prison in Nazi German occupied France just hours before their scheduled execution at a nearby football pitch.
