#Voyager was on #UPN when it first aired so it like #ABC #CBS #NBC #Fox #TheWB and finally their network. It may not have been in upper mine.
Plus scifi shows aren't often expected to be accurate. And this was allegedly a Native American culture centuries in the future. A lot of room for fuzziness.
