Karl Kasarda has started a new channel. He's moving his historical stories to that channel. "Off The Range TV". The actual story was removed from the Bureau of Land Managements website due to tRump's anti-DEI executive order. Karl saved this info. #transgender #transgenderhistory #transgenderrights

Reading #TransgenderHistory, and it's showing me the political atmosphere against us that has been here all along. I was ignorant, and my transition taught me a great many things. I'm privileged to be this far in my journey, and it took a lot of Trans soldiers before my time to help me out. Thanks.

Medieval manuscript with dense writing recounting the trial of Eleanor.
I loved the Medieval Women exhibition @britishlibrary.bsky.social Was really moved by this account of the trial of Eleanor Rykener, a sex worker in London in 1395. Eleanor was born John but lived and presented as a woman. She also worked as an embroideress and a barmaid. #transgenderhistory

Roman emperor Elagabalus ruled from 218 to 222 AD, transgressed gender norms and declared, “call me not Lord, for I am a Lady”. Transgender practice was tolerated and even sometimes respected by the Roman populace when it was practiced. She even tried to break ‘gendered roles’ by setting up a “women’s senate”. This shows more than ever that being transgender is not some trend or 'woke' but has existed since the beginning of time.
