View of distant hills and the roof of a house, between the twisted trunks of oak trees lining a ridge. Tiny young bright green leaves are just unfolding on the oaks, acid green in colour.
Same view in landscape, ten years later. The view across a river valley, the distant hills, and the young oak leaves just uncurling on the branches of the oaks. The difference is time - 4 weeks earlier in the year.
Looking back in my photos for cherry blossom to illustrate season creep.. But these oaks illustrate it nicely.

A bare winter forest of young beech trees, tall thin and leggy against a pale sky. The ground is thickly covered with rust red brown leaves from last year, the few peeps of green are noss and tiny pine saplings. A small track winds downhill on the left. The contours of hills can be seen through the trees.
