The geese of St Werburgh & a Virgin & Child in a stained glass window.

Thanks. Have a good afternoon Anna.

My wife, Anne, & I thoroughly enjoy the countryside & exploring churches.

There is also perhaps another link in that we have visited Cheshire a fair bit in recent times.

This a detail from the St Christopher window (1927) by #TrenaCox in Chester Cathedral.

Thank you Katie, a really interesting tour, learnt loads I didn't know about the city I live in. @aletadoran.bsky.social was telling us all about this tiny #TrenaCox window high on the wall which depicts the goose St Werburgh brought back to life!
A long stretch with my camera I have to say.

The @aletadoran.bsky.social #TrenaCox exhibition in the Cathedral and the @nickytomo.bsky.social #CheshiresWonderfulWildlife Art Trail in the #CountessCountryPark have been two highs. Lows for me include the fact that parking in the city & suburbs is so badly managed.

The style of the figures & their setting

#AJDavies is (in my opinion) more traditional, but #TrenaCox seems so fresh & new

I think Nancy & you, Isabelle, would love the finer details of the St Christopher window, such as the flowers, birds & waves.
#TrenaCox was certainly a great artist.

👀 #Chester Cathedral

A fascinating, educational & informative time

Speakers, slides & panel of experts. We learnt a lot about “Women working in Creation & Conservation” in 20th/21st C

So apt that #TrenaCox started the “conversation” & that a major 21st C artist was in the audience.
