For the third Saturday in a row someone has poured cooking oil onto paths in the #CountessCountryPark. We think this is probably someone with a grudge against #parkrun. If anyone has any information could they report to the Police on 101 and copy in the Friends at Friends.coccp@gmail.com
An old article but, in my opinion, it's spot on. We were only talking about exactly this in the #CountessCountryPark on Friday during a #TCVMerseyside #GreenGym lunch break.

The #TCVMerseyside #GreenGym volunteers braved the cold on Friday to crack on with the hedgelaying in the #CountessCountryPark
Sadly the Dipping Platform in #CountessCountryPark has been deemed unsafe. On Friday #FriendsCoCCP & #TCVMerseyside removed the posts & rails & used them to construct a new fence across it. This is part 1 of a project to create a new wetland experience for the community.

Lovely to see the Snowdrops we planted a couple of years ago coming up in the Nature Reserve of the #CountessCountryPark in Chester.
Myself and the #FriendsCoCCP were proud to have organised this event into the #CountessCountryPark 👇👇

Very poorly researched article on running in Chester. It makes no mention of the hugely successful #Chesterparkrun in #CountessCountryPark which sees 400 runners every Saturday taking part.

This photo reminds me of an impressionist painting with the #WolfMoon rising behind the trees of the #CountessCountryPark and our hare carving watching through the branches of a Silver Birch getting ready to howl!
All are welcome to join the #FriendsCoCCP & others in the
#CountessCountryPark at 11am on Fri 24th Jan for this very special event to remember 80 years since the end of WW2. An 80th anniversary is an Oak one. This supports Mersey Forest's 'Oaks at 80' project launched last year in Calderstones Park
It was a cracking day yesterday to be working with the #TCVMerseyside Friday #GreenGym volunteers laying hedges in the #CountessCountryPark. Below zero but, it was dry, the skies were blue and no wind.
An excellent read .. hopefully my comments uploaded ok to the blog. Thank you for all the support you've given to me, Morag and the Friends of the #CountessCountryPark in 2024.
Great see this photo on Facebook of PCSO Eva Williams on one of her regular patrols through #CountessCountryPark with The Friendly Bench and the start of the @nickytomo.bsky.social #CheshiresWonderfulWildlife in the background.

The @aletadoran.bsky.social #TrenaCox exhibition in the Cathedral and the @nickytomo.bsky.social #CheshiresWonderfulWildlife Art Trail in the #CountessCountryPark have been two highs. Lows for me include the fact that parking in the city & suburbs is so badly managed.
Dreadful major incident at Dunham Massey where an embankment on the Bridgewater Canal has failed floodingthe local area. It's always our fear that this could happen in the #CountessCountryPark where the Shropshire Union Canal is currently leaking.

Beautiful double #rainbow over #CountessCountryPark #Chester during #parkrun last Saturday
Cracking photo of #TheFriendlyBench area of #CountessCountryPark
On Fri my team of #TCVMerseyside #GreenGym volunteers set about rescuing a smaller orchard in #CountessCountryPark on land belonging to @cwpnhs.bsky.social. It missed a prune last year & we're late this year, furthermore brambles had overtaken it. Careful thought has to be given as to where to cut.
All is well on Parkgate Road but the lower path in the #CountessCountryPark is well under so definitely avoid.
Fabulous 'Carols in the Park' yesterday in #CountessCountryPark with the choir of #DeePointPrimary. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! We just made it before the rain hit too.
Carols in the #CountessCountryPark with #FriendsCoCCP and the choir of #DeePointPrimary school. All are welcome.

I've just started following two of the site owners who make up 1/3 of the #CountessCountryPark on Bluesky:

Everyone wanted to pose in the sunshine with the Festive Wreaths they made at the #FriendsCoCCP free event in the #CountessCountryPark yesterday.
Next up with these guys is Carols in the Park on Friday at 2pm with the choir of Dee Point Primary .. all are welcome. 🎅

The forecast overnight (Tues/Wed 19th/20th Nov) is for freezing temperatures. Please take extra care on the footpaths in the #CountessCountryPark as there is likely to be a lot of icy patches, especially where last night's snow has melted and then frozen over. Check out slippy fallen leaves as well!
