A definite tussock moth caterpillar at Mammoth Cave. It is facing down. It appears to be on a rock or a wall. It is mostly a light yellow, with four darker yellow tufts on its back and a black line running down the center of its body. Fuzzy yellow hairs sick out from both sides of the moth. A pair of long brown hairs stick out from its yellow head. Similarly, a number of long brown hairs stretch out at the rear end, forming what looks like a tail.

A colorful caterpillar. The caterpillar is looking left. It has two long extensions that appear to be antennae forming a V at its front. These are actually sensors for detecting chemicals. Its head is barely visible and appears to be pinkish. The top of the body along the center is black with four round tufts of yellow hair. Its sides are also a light yellow. Below the tufts of yellow are several red dots along the center. There are many hairs of varying lengths protruding from all sides.
