A lovely light yellow and brown bird is perched on some vegetation in a hay meadow. The bird is buffy brown on top with some dark brown streaks on the back and flanks. The bird has a dark crown with a light central stripe, a light eyebrow, and a dark line behind the eye. The underbelly is a light yellow.

A small bird sits on top of a fence post, singing his heart out. The bird has a blue-gray back. The throat is yellow; and the belly is white with no streaking. The bird sports a broken eye ring, often referred to in guide books as eye arcs or eye crescents. This bird is also obligingly demonstrating another distinctive feature of this species: its bi-colored bill, which sets it apart from most other warblers. The lower mandible is yellow-orange.

An elegant warbler with a blue-gray hood and yellow underparts is perched on a branch. The bird has a black-mottled patch on his upper breast. The upperparts are olive and the underparts (including the lower breast, belly, and the area under the tail) a very bright, unstreaked yellow. The bird’s bill has a pink base.
