Re-watched #NightmareCity - the #UmbertoLenzi movie. In MY OPINION, I consider it a “fast zombie” movie, because they can RUN (and use weapons, almost like a less sadistic precursor of the #Crossed graphic novels). I liked Lenzi’s movie the first time I saw it. Tonight, I LOVED IT. Ⓐ

This promotional artwork for the 1972 giallo film, Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, features a bright red orchid flower over a black background and scenes of 4 victims divided by white lines radiating from the orchid. The lines vaguely suggest cracked glass. The film is the fifth giallo directed by Umberto Lenzi and the one most heavily influenced by Dario Argento's blockbuster 1970 giallo The Bird with the Crystal Plumage. Lenzi's previous gialli had been more character focused with a Hitchcockian flare, but with Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, Lenzi adopted the "body count" approach of Argento and others, which set the template for North American slasher films that followed.
