Under a deep blue sky with fair weather clouds rises the sculpted skeletal form of a tall hoodoo with a concave cap, looking like the seat of a camp chair. Behind and to either side we see two other prominent hoodoos amidst the tortured surrounding landscape. At lower left, in the foreground, an ironstone boulder displays a banded, weathered appearance.

A justly famous #Scape, owing to its remoteness and undeniably bizarre appearance: Welcome to the Alien Throne. (But don't sit on it!)

A huge jointed hoodoo fills most of the frame, the side facing us in shadow. Just to the right we see the distinctive shape of the "alien throne" hoodoo. Between these two rock formations, farther away, we can see another hoodoo shaped something like the god Mercury. The sky is featureless and without clouds.

Between two towers: Valley of Dreams, NW New Mexico. I never processed this raw file from 2020 because other, more traditional compositions grabbed my attention.
