This is a copy or to be more precise, I think once I used a different OV-card (Dutch public transit travelers card) to register and I got a new name card, while if I registered with my normal OV-card I would’ve gotten a higher number. I don’t dare to say what was my last visitors number, but pre-corona for example I had a OV-card with a subscription where I could travel “for free” during non-rush hours, and that was at the beginning too of when I was developing TDG and Viisiit., testing it out, talking to potential members (B2C/B2B) or advertisers, etc. Even though I haven’t gotten (yet) the needed starting capital to launch the companies through the network of people who worked there or who I met there, the insights, tips and advices I gathered and received were and still to this day are valuable to me. On a more personal level, Venture Cafe Rotterdam eventually also worked somewhat closely with people who started with startups who directly competes with Viisiit., because they took ideas I gave them while I was explaining my (future) plans for Viisiit. and took one aspect of it and went to market because one party had access to capital that he could use to hire people and set up promotion, etc, and the other party, whom we met and talked a couple of times too at Venture Cafe, but also at other events, like on their launch party of their app that they were working on before they pivoted to become a direct competitor of Viisiit., was already somewhat a team and at least they were with 2 founders, something here in the Netherlands investors have as strict requirement, your own experience and/or plans and/or skills & abilities to successfully execute them, be damned, and at least one of them was a full stack developer that could’ve start building the platform they needed for themselves. I don’t hate them, I don’t respect the “hustle”, but I accept the reality of things and stay open for eventual future partnership, and be prepared for eventual war, if need be 🤓💪❤️..
