A black and white photographed page titled “Christmas Arrangements” from the Sussex County Asylum, dated December 1871. It lists the Christmas Day schedule in decorative handwritten script, including workshops and laundry closed, divine service at 11 am, patients’ dinner at 1 pm, a country walk in the afternoon, and evening activities in the class room. It also notes that the porter will lock the doors and ring the bell for lights out at 11.15 pm. Below, it lists entertainment in the recreation hall on December 26, a patients’ Christmas ball on December 27, and a household ball on January 2, 1872.
