Six skeins of lavender coloured vintage yarn with art deco styled buff, black and white labels. The labels state the brand as Patons Netta, made in Australia by Patons and Baldwins Ltd, it is pure wool and each skein weighs 1 ounce. The yarn is fingering weight and has a very unusual crinkled texture
I've just opened a very exciting package - 6 oz of Patons Netta. This yarn was only produced between 1939 & 1951, so I'm assuming that it is 1940s #vintageyarn #vintageknitting #patonsaustralia #1940s
This is actually lovely and squishy and soft against the skin.

I thought I’d have a go at resizing a vintage knit and went with the classic Victory Jumper. All was going well, I finished the front piece last night and blocked it out this morning. Only to realise that I have misread my own directions! #vintageknitting
