An accessory I often wear that u probably won’t see in lots of other places is jewelry belts. There are a couple reasons I wear them. I will talk about the reasons in a separate post. But chief among those is they are pretty! They are interesting! They make noise when I move! (And as anyone who hangs out with me IRL knows, I am often decorated with many bells n chimes!)

I’m wearing three pieces here. The nest of gold leaves lies under a gold colored collar as well as the purple heart pendant.

This is the back of the piece. One of the holes actually tore through which we can support considerably across the grid and opened up a hole which gaped and you could see through. Obviously, I couldn’t use the torn hole so I had to get some wire to connect it to the adjoining support. A success!

My big #VintageNini repair of last batch. 1.5 - 2 hrs work over 2 days. Replacing 10-ish jump rings, undoing numerous to twist/rework connections for a better shape/2 lay smoother; many, small, unseen tweaks, + wiring a fix across 3 2 patch torn leaf (circled). Proud of this fix! #Jewelry

My Dancing Girl theme of #VintageNini💍 jewelry is made of metal arrangements that make audible noise n catch light. So, generally, bells, n coins. Coins jangling from the ears, jangling bells around ankles n wrists, n a replica Afghan coin necklace. Coin jewelry is generally heavier. #VintageNini

A few new necklace and chest pieces, the closest one belonging to the Armor of God theme, which uses a lot of hard, simple metal plating, often cut into triangles, or other triangle shaped jewelry or chain mail/metal mesh, and crucifixes.

Numerous new necklaces. Some of them are beads, some metal; new headbands, and earrings.

The trade-off… I love wearing tons of jewelry on my wrists n rings on every finger, earrings… I like all the weight I like feeling it wrapped around me, I like feeling it tug n swing when I move. I’m into all of that all of the flesh of it.

I say I just strung it up again, but it was tuff. It’s pretty annoying to thread those little holes w elastic string. I had to pierce one end w a needle n very carefully guide it in there. That’s why it was so satisfying when I finished. I’ve wanted to wear this for… 4 months? Something like that. This is me flexing my hand u can see a couple rings in my nail polish n u can see this big chunky gem bracelet here which I’m talking about gleaming in the light, one of the green stones flashing. I’m also wearing a gauntlet of C-3PO type metal.

I am thoughtful n selective about how I design the large amount of jewelry I wear. I never want it to just be a cluster of whatever. What I’m wearing here kind of is a little bit bcz some days I acquire new pieces n I just wear them with what I have on already.(which was intentionally put together in the morning), bcz I love them so much or I’m that excited to get them. My hanging coins were one. So I wouldn’t normally mix those with everything else here. One theme feels n looks like armor; one feels like antique/earth tone/rustic; one theme is all gems n dazzle… And I’m now developing the DANCER theme which will be all coins n bells all over my body n it makes a rustling ringing jangling sound whenever I move. I often wear those for my dancing videos. Also the FANGS theme — u can see one piece from that set around my neck. The black n red with what looks like drops of blood. I’m putting this one together from various pieces so it’s originally designed, not a pre-bought set or anything like that. Designing these themes of jewelry, categorized, n distinguished by visual means as well as energetic, is one of the ways I strongly express my own creativity n vision through my use of jewelry.
