My piece "Viyan" retells the life of the Kurdish teacher, singer, & storyteller (Dengbêj) #ViyanPeyman (Gülistan Tali Cinganlo) from Eastern Kurdistan #Rojhelat. She joined the resistance of #Rojava & lost her life in #Kobane ten years go on April 6, 2015.
