This World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, we pause to honour lives lost and those forever changed by road traffic accidents. Every one of us has been touched by “that day” – the day a life was tragically altered or ended.
Together, let’s make a difference. 🌍

Yesterday was World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims… so a quick, extremely fresh, story
Last Thurs, my friend was hit by a car walking home at around 5pm causing a concussion and fractured vertebrae.
Doctors say she will recover… in time, but…

A poster with a black background. The title says World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims Thank you to our supporters. The image shows a shockingly huge number of posters with the faces of people who have been senselessly killed in crashes, arranged in a long line with candles illuminating them.
Immense gratitude to everyone who joined us tonight at the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. If you have lost a loved one, they are not forgotten. You are not alone. #SafeStreetsSaveLives #WDoR2024 #RememberSupportAct #Bill212 #TODeadlyStreets #DeadlyByDesign #WalkTO #ONpoli #TOpoli

There was a great turnout for the Cambridge-Boston World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims rally! We remembered 68 people killed in MA this year while walking or biking. Tell your state legislators we need automated enforcement of traffic violations to make our roads safer.

Traffic crashes kill more than 12 people on an average day in Texas. People like Irving police officer and Army veteran, Jerome Scholz, 38, who was killed by a driver on November 15.

Today is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
1.19 million people died on the road across the world in 2023.
So many of these deaths are preventable with better urban design. We must all do our part to help create and support the design of safer communities for all!

I walked 4,167 steps for the 4,167 people killed in traffic crashes over the past 12 months in Texas.
It’s unacceptable that 4,000+ people die on Texas road each year. Join me in demanding policies that save lives:

Since November 2023, 4,167 people died in traffic crashes in Texas. As folks gather on the Texas Capitol steps in Austin, I’m starting my walk of 4,167 steps in Denton in memory of the lives lost.

As #CivilDefence volunteers, we don't spend all of our time in the back of an ambulance or on a search looking for others. Sometimes, we just spend time remembering them. Like today on #WDoR2024.

Really moving testimony today. People deserve to feel safe on our streets whether they walk, bike or take transit! We must not accept weak leaders who do not prioritize our most vulnerable road users anymore. #WDoR2024
I wish we didn’t have to rally for #WDoR2024, but we continue to lose family, friends, and neighbors to traffic violence at astounding rates. The love and support today was so palpable, and I thank @safestreetsdc.bsky.social and allies for their work day in and out.
