One thing that came up repeatedly at #WIAC2025 was the damage caused by all the cuts to NIH, etc. Many great scientists have lost their job, doing irreparable harm to science. And the people responsible for this damage lie about their actions.

There is a need for integration of the fields of medicine public health engineering and environmental science to aid human health.
A multidisciplinary and holistic approach to indoor air science is practiced as well as promoted at #WIAC2025

On my way to the final day of the Workplace and Indoor Aerosols Conference #WIAC2025 at Castello Angioino. Will write a longer text about it when I am back home in a few days, however I can already say that the scientists here are very welcoming group of people.
Will #WIAC2025 talk about architecture, buildings, social consequences of architectural misconceptions trough indoor air threat? Maybe in “Mitigation Measures and Strategies”? Fingers crossed somehow airborne scientists and architects will talk together.

Currently on my way to the Workplace and Indoor Aerosols Conference 2025 #WIAC2025 in Gaeta. Took a break in Bologna and did the most touristy thing to do and measured the CO2 levels in a handful of supermarkets. Overall very low levels ( but might be different if very hot or colder).
