Each month of 2023/2024 I would look forward to the transformational training in conservation that COMPASS provides.
Now I'm incredibly proud that Claudia will receive this training too! Congratulations on making the 2025 cohort!

Here we go 2025! 🎉
May it be a wonderful year for all (including #WILDlab members and collaborators!).
We are already off to a good start with thesis revisions being finalized, a few scholarship applications going in, and new manuscripts in review.
A MASSIVE congratulations to Eric Jolin, #WILDlab MSc student, who successfully defended his thesis yesterday @laurierbiology.bsky.social! 🎉
Eric tackled a massive camera trapping data set in NWT to infer season and scale specific top-down vs bottom-up ecological processes.
CONGRATULATIONS Eric! ✨
also check out @rhohnen.bsky.social and @nluymes.bsky.social as key members of the #WILDlab.
Lots of us are on the Camera Trapping StarterPack, amongst others, too.

AND, we also welcome @nluymes.bsky.social to BlueSky!!
Dr. Luymes is a WESTON Postdoctoral Fellow doing research on Canada's only (that we know of) GPS collar data set of #Muskox below treeline. Can you say cool? 😎

Welcome @vlucet.bsky.social To Blue Sky!
The first #WILDlab member to join!
The #NorthCore lab and #WILDlab are doing some pretty remote research this month.
Helicopter access only, and several hours flight away from the nearest town, we work to link Carbon, vegetation, and wildlife across this vast landscape. 🫧🌱🦌
Ontario's North is a pretty amazing place.
I'm beyond proud to announce Christine Dunabr's Women in Science Hypatia award, AND that Amaan Leacock is joining the #WILDlab as a thesis student this Fall!
Well done Christine, and Amaan!
Hello BlueSky!
Come follow the #WILDlab as we embark on wildlife research that makes change for northern people and species.
