Two of the ducks that came to mug us. He has an iridescent green head and neck, white neck ring, chestnut brown chest, cream/brown back. She has a beautiful mottled brown and cream pattern. Both have red/orange feet.
Out the back of a supermarket, dozens of ducks take a rest from mugging picnickers and tourists, most sitting on the grass under trees. A few bin chickens (white ibis) poke at the grass in the background. Did not photograph the pair of little corellas making sweet love in a tree above.
The view from the picnic table. An expanse of water, edged by mangroves backed by paperbark trees across the water. We were entertained by little black and pied shags hunting for fish in front of us while we ate, plus passing larger pied shags, pelicans, terns, sooty oyster catchers, and a seal some distance away. And of course, hassled by ducks wandering around us constantly.

Today we caught a train down to Woy Woy for a picnic lunch with the ducks. A cold wind was blowing, so we rugged up warmly. Had the picnic area to ourselves, apart from the ducks.
