Our village post box doesn’t get much TLC and it shows. Sadly I was posting a sympathy card to an old friend who just lost his son only a year after his wife died. Some days suck more than others.

Beautiful old rose garden at Cal State U, Chico hosts blooms of reds, whites, yellows, pinks. Sky is blue and clear. Full green trees on the CSUC campus have been around for decades as the school is over 120 years old. This photo is prior to the Paradise and Oroville fires.

Square window in red brick facade, framed in painted black bricks. The facade is part of the Hospice Comtesse Museum, and is probably from the 15th century. There is no glass in the window. Looking through, you see corners, roofs, and part of a window of the Hospice buildings still standing and that form the current museum. There is also a bush filling in the bottom of the window.

To the left are bright red fuchsias. On the right various shrubs. Looking through these is the back of the unusual looking building. I will post a photo of the front next Wednesday. There is a lot of information about the building on the National Trust website and a film about its renovation.
Back of The Old Post Office in Tintagel. Built as a thatched farmhouse over 600 years ago. Gradually the building changed over the years and it became a LETTER receiving office in 1870s.
