Many thanks to the 20 sites who participated in yesterday's #westmidsalldayer - 4 sites managed to break the 100 mark with Blithfield narrowly pipping Belvide to the post. I'll pull together a list of all the species seen across the sites (usually c140 species). Well done all 👏

Got to Blithfield 5am and had a proper slog all around Blithe Bay till 15:30 when Dave joined me for a while. Small team of 7 reached 101 species as I left #westmidsalldayer
85 species for Clifton Pits #WestMidsAllDayer highlights, Marsh Harrier, Hobby several, Peregrine, Pochard, Wigeon, Goosander, Common Tern parties of 9&8, LRP, Green & Common Sandpiper, Cetti’s, Lesser Whitethroat, Yellow Wagtail & Spotted Flycatcher.

Well that's me done at Chelmarsh for the #WestMidsAllDayer. Bit of a mixed day with a lot of disturbance. Lots of sailing going on also strimming around the scrape.
Common birds missing GSW, kestrel and m thrush etc, but some good birds as well Ruff, barn owl, yel wag, redstart & spot fly. Total 72
Rather amazingly, the juv Marsh Harrier was followed a few minutes later by an adult female. Fantastic! #westmidsalldayer #Grimley #WorcsBirds

Some great birds have been recorded so far, including just down the road from the shop at our local patch of Grimley.
Both a Grey Phalarope and a Glossy Ibis were found by local #birders prior to 8am.
