Not always easy to get a Wheatear on my 3k patch, so pleased to catch up with one early in the year.
A @moocher.bsky.social find earlier today at #LadywalkNR on the shoreline we cleared in Autumn.

3 Blackwits main pool yesterday #LadywalkNR from A hide could only see heads so opted for Riverwalk hide and picked up Blackcap and Williow Warbler singing also new for the 3k #PWC2026 narrowly missing Osprey at B-pools heading north whilst in woods ๐

This spot looked promising when i spotted otter tracks there. Here is the female with what I think is a small fish. Then, being pursued by the male. Sheโs not quite ready for his attention yet. #LadywalkNR
I spotted some Otter tracks in a new spot at #LadywalkNR and decided to put a camera on it. Brief view of an otter and a very close call for the camera last weekend. The waterline was about an inch from the camera. (2.5cm for the metric minded)
Yesterday afternoonโฆBlackthorn already in bloom but Hawthorn in leaf and ready to blossom soonโฆ.

Picked up LSW calling at start of month at #LadywalkNR and added a flyover Skylark today 84 for the 3k #PWC2026

Very bright Sibe Chiff busy feeding in overhanging vegetation of Tame (double gates) even along shoreline. Rarely coming to top of bank and then only in ground vegetation.

Despite having the driest year at #LadywalkNR it still produced the best find in Golden Oriole in the Spring and YBW in Autumn. Patch ticks inc Goshawk,Glossy Ibis and Curlew Sand on last bit of water!
