He knows how hard Māmā has been working these past few weeks so he checks in for cuddle breaks, and we have cuddle - kia i te ata and i te pō. And whenever I get tired and frustrated and just want to go be a normal person and take my nights and weekends back, I remember the day a few months ago when he asked me why the government hates Māori. It broke my heart to think that my son is growing up in a political environment that makes him feel hated, attacked, and scared. My baby was educated fully in Te Reo Māori from day dot. The Regulatory Standards Bill threatens the rights guaranteed under Te Tiriti for the generations after him to do that. And it threatens my baby. Nobody does that. I will not rest until this piece of slime Bill is ripped into pieces the same way the Treaty Principles Bill was. You will not take my son's reo. You will not take his safety. And you sure as hell will not take his tino rangatiratanga 😤😤😤🪓🪓🪓🖤♥️🤍 PS: I'm sorry that my Mother's day post isn't all rainbows and unicorns, I'm just not that kinda Māmā 🐦🔥💅😎"
