as I was leaving the park stunning clouds were rolling in. In this image there is a wonderful sunburst come though a sky of clouds with silhouette trees below.
I can't be sure, but I am pretty sure it is due to the number of lakes in the State that we get some off the best afternoon cloudscapes. As the waters heat up and evaporate through the day, cloud formations build later. Producing some gorgeous white fluffy clouds, and some stunning sunsets.
A cavapoo laying in the grass with a panting smile on his face
Cini and I taking a rest to allow him to cool off in the shade. He did great in the woods, but we had a long stretch of Prairie that had him panting something fierce. After giving him water hear, I carried him the last half mile back into the shade of the forest
The perfect mushroom growing from a crack in some wood, illuminated by the sun while most of the rest of the picture is shaded was a beautiful sight.
A flooded forest taken with a wide-angle lens. The trees reflect off the waters below creating interesting lines and shapes.
we have had a ton of ran in Minnesota the last few weeks. The water pictured is the St. Croix River wildly above its normal flow. I went out in hopes of hitting yellow gold pay dirt (Chanterelle mushrooms) from all the water however, fungus life was pretty limited in Afton. Lots of oaks no mushrooms though.
Went hiking today in Afton State Park. Thought I would share some of my favorite shots. #Hiking #Photography #Nature #Minnesota #sota #ope #WildernessWednesday #MacroPhotography #Clouds #cloudscape #BlueSky
