Listening to #WomensHour... and the guilt of not having children... I certainly felt this... and felt let off the hook... when my brother provided some grandchildren...
Good to hear about #Leicester's Unglamorous Women's punk bands on #WomensHour just now. Favourite band name.... Virginia's Wolves.
Yeah. The #WomensHour thing mentioned that. Felicity Finch had 'used it' to bake a Carrot Cake for the presenter. She (presenter) wondered whether there was any Lemon Drizzle. 'Oh no. That's Jill's area. No-one else would make a Lemon Drizzle....'
Loving the discussions on #WomensHour about the women in #TheArchers.
I'd never realised that Ruth actually has a real kitchen so that Felicity Finch can do cooking/tea pouring sound effects herself - I'd always assumed it was just one radio recording studio & all sounds were done by techs.
Echo-terrorist, terrorist, terrorist. #thearchers #womenshour
09:02, #Radio4 continuity announcer: “Darren Harriott and Dr Robin Hadley … talk about fatherhood from ten”
Everything that’s wrong with the #BBC, right there.
Children of ten should not even be thinking about becoming parents, but #WomensHour promotes it from an all-male perspective.
😇😇
I've just discovered 'Musica Secreta'. Beautiful voices.
Thank you BBC R4 #WomensHour
Find their #music on @bandcamp.com
Coverage of Charlie Kirk on #womenshour sat back to listen to an analysis of his misogynistic agenda but got a hagiography instead.
Great article on #BBCRadio4 #WomensHour on accent bias.
Romantasy on Radio 4?! 👀✨
Loved hearing @authorimanierriu’s hot take on Woman’s Hour today — and somehow she made us Romantasy fans sound… not too unhinged.
It’s all about appearances… 👏📚

When we were children in the fifties we used to have school nurses.
We were all checked, first every term, then twice a year, then once a year. They measured and weighed us, if there was anything wrong they’d advise parents before it got too serious.
Amazing! The brilliant @lambrinigirls.bsky.social playing live on @bbcradio4.bsky.social Women’s Hour! Check out their track ‘Bad Apple’, bloody awesome! #womenshour #bbcradio4

And fantastic to hear that they all chose to move back to west Wales as that's where they're happiest & most creative. Their next (double) album will be essential listening.
If you tune into the #WomensHour special on #BBCRadio4 now, you'll hear an interview with #videogames composer #EimearNoone. We'll be joining Eimear again at #RoyalAlbertHall with #RPO on 4 June 2025 for 'Worlds of Fantasy: Video Games in Concert'.

Enlightening and uplifting @BBCRadio4 #womenshour discussion about mental health.
“We need to be able to sit with our feelings [don’t quash them].”
And
“Be ruthless in managing your mental health.”
