A little vase from the September firing. It's very crusty from being right at the front of the kiln. I'm never decisive with these pots about how much to clean/sand/grind off, but with this one I'm inclined to leave it.

Chop chop! Now that the fire ban is definitely, officially over (for real!) it's time to light the kiln. I even checked with my local volunteer fire department chief, just to be extra cautious, and he said "Have at 'er!" New pots by the end of the week!

'Leather hard' pots:the consistency chocolate. The pot is finished, so slips and glazes can now be applied (I don't do Biscuit firings before glazing). Leather hard pots just look so lush....
