The #MadisonMallards increased their win streak to seven games and pulled within a game of the first-place #Wausau #Woodchucks. We still need Wausau to lose at least two games for a chance at making the playoffs. They play tonight (7/31) against the hapless Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders.

The weather looks good for the first game but a few storms may threaten the later innings of Game #2.

The #Mallards lost a close game in #Wausau last night. Hope they can better the #Woodchucks tonight.

A fat, fuzzy brown groundhog looks over their shoulder. They are scurrying away to the cover of spruce trees after having been caught red pawed devouring all of the herbs growing in patio pots. They know they are a jerk, but cannot help it. 

A patio pot of dill. An hour earlier it had been fluffy and robust lovingly nurtuted from seed, and ready to be harvested for a delicious sauce to accompany smoked, grilled salmon. Nothing remains but sad, denuded stems after a greedy groundhog devoured more than its share. 

A patio pot of parsley. An hour earliet this was full of bright green, flavorful parsley ready to be harvested for a long planned delectable sauce for smoked, grilled salmon. There remain just a few frightened and fragile sprigs. Survivors of a voracious and greedy groundchuck.
